My Review:
Having had my eye on this film since last month I finally gave in and decided to watch it. Leaving looking into this film and not seeing the trailer as I didn't want to ruin this for myself either I went in with an open mind and unsure what to expect. This film definitely exceeded my expectations and left me constantly wanting to know what was going to happen next.

I thought that Mune: Guardian of the Moon was great in that it had someone who didn't want the job of guardian get it and have to learn it all for themselves without any guidance or advise which I thought was nice to see as it seems rare in movies. Not only this but the animation style of this film was different to what I am used to but not only suited the film but also kept the childhood feeling alive which was something I thought was really nice to watch. Having another style for the animation which was set in the dream world was really good as it helped to really show which world the characters were in at a time and gave more understanding to Mune's powers in the film. Having the guardian of the sun also not sure about Mune and wanting the man who had been trained to be the guardian which got refused the title of guardian of the moon not believe in him was a good way of showing how people can have a wrong impression. Not only this but after Mune is able to help save the moon and both character's realise how wrong they were about him and even become friends was something I thought was really sweet and touching. I loved that the girl in the film needed the heat and was able to help both of the guardians in getting back the sun and the moon and bring back the world in which they knew. She made me smile and when she dies at the end of the film saving the sun was really sweet however made me tear up a little when she got revived and seeing how happy both of the guardians were about her return as well as finding her love for Mune, which leads to them being together. I found the story was original and that did make this an even better watch in my opinion as it kept me wondering what was going to happen next especially when the moon fully disappears and a lava monster darkens the sun. I did think that one of the small lava monsters were really funny and sweet that he just wanted to look after plants and be part with nature as well as not hurt anyone around him unlike his friend. Finally, having the lava monster as someone who was corrupted by darkness and only after the darkness is taken out of him that he is able to find peace and that the land around him becomes healthy and happy was really interesting and showed how darkness corrupts those around them but lightness is able to create a good atmosphere around yourself as well as able to effect the people and atmosphere around yourself.

I couldn't fault this film and thought that it was really enjoyable as well as made me laugh at times throughout as well. I would highly recommend Mune: Guardian of the Moon to those who like animation films and want something that is original. I am definitely going to be seeing this again and so happy that I decided to give this film a chance.

My Rating: 5/5

Illuminae - Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff (book review)

Book: Illuminae
Author: Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
Genre: Sci-fi, Young Adult, Romance
Published By: Knopf Books for Young Readers
Published Year: 2015

My Review:
Having heard a lot of positive things about this book I thought I would check it out and borrowed it from the library and found it was a really quick read and rather unique in the way that it was written.

Illuminae is about survivors from a war trying to get to safety however there is a plague in which is getting throughout the passengers and is driving them crazy. Not only this but it seems like the main computer system has also went insane and has stopped trying to protect the people like it is supposed to to.

I thought that this book was original in it's story as well as the way that it was written and some of the pages with the imagery was really well done and also made to be really pretty. This did keep me wanting to see how the pages would look and with it's unique style I thought it was well placed out. I also …

Sahara (film review) *contains spoilers*

Film: Sahara

About: A young cobra and his scorpion best friend go on a journey across the Sahara desert to save a new-found love

My Review:
Having a movie day I came across Sahara when on Netflix and having no expectations about this film and also not knowing what it was about I thought that it would be the perfect film to blog about. I did think that this was a cute adventure movie but would be better suited to a younger audience than myself.

I found that this film was really sweet that the snake wanted to go across the desert in order to find a snake in which he found he felt a connection with even though they were different kinds and also from different worlds. I also thought by having the girls brother being a drug addict and struggling with wanting more drugs and wanting to leave his sister while also becoming fri…

My Review:
Having a movie day I couldn't decide what film to review however one film stood out to me more than the others have and that was Storks which made me laugh as well as kept me entertained all the way through the movie. As a result I thought that this would be the perfect film for me to review.

Personally I liked how this film showed how Storks carried babies like what children are told when they are little however decided to change to just delivering parcels due to one of them wanting to steal a baby and as a result has lived in their warehouse her whole life. I did think that the main boss wa…
