I thought that Aquaman was brilliant in that it was shown as a comic book movie and felt like one throughout the movie instead of an action movies like most of the comic book movies that have been released. By also showing Arthur as a child and how he was able to communicate the creatures of the sea which later becomes how he is able to win the trident he needs to become king of Atlantis.
