Book: The Dark Lord Clementine Author: Sarah Jean Horwitz Genre: Middle Grade, Fantasy Published By: Algonquin Young Readers Published Year: 2019 My Review: Having been given an advance copy of The Dark Lord Clementine for an honest review and as part of a book blog tour I was very excited to start reading this. This book was a fun read and one that I am glad I got invited to read. The book is about a girl called Clementine who after her father has been cursed by the Whittle Witch she needs to take over doing dark deeds however realises that maybe that isn't who she wants to be after all. I liked that this book had names for each of the chapters but had it as two separate titles which gave more insight into what the chapter was going to be about before reading it. I also liked that the story was being told not only from Clementine's side but also from Darka's which gave a good contrast and a better understanding of what was happening as able to see it from two...

Haag Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Retelling Published By: Shattered Glass Publishing LLC Published Year: 2015 My Review: Having got an e-mail about a book tour with Silver Dagger Book Tours about a Beauty and the Beast Retelling, I knew that I had to take part and I was not disappointed at all in doing so. This book really surprised me and I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I expected. Depravity is about a girl called Benella who when trying to help fed her family takes food from the estate just out of town comes across the beast who is willing to help her as long as she cleans his house. However, when things start going badly for Benella's family the Beast wants to keep her in his estate even though she doesn't want to lose her family as a result.
