Before watching I didn't know anything about this movie and had never heard of it so there is nothing which will influence my review. I thought that this movie was good in that it showed how John started to take control of his life thanks to the people at the carnival who gave him the book of magic. I also liked how it showed John learning the tricks from being able to do no magic at all to being able to being able to get people to do as he said by just whispering in their ears.
