Fred Claus (film review) *contains spoilers*

Film:  Fred Claus Year:  2007 Genre:  Comedy, Family, Fantasy Directed By:  David Dobkin Starring:  Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, Elizabeth Banks About:  Fred Claus, Santa's bitter older brother, is forced to move to the North Pole to help Santa and the elves prepare for Christmas in exchange for cash. Trailer:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzXjtxZaGS8 My Review: Over the Christmas period I decided to watch some films that I hadn't previously seen before and one of those being  Fred Claus  I thought that this was different to other Christmas movies as it focus' on Santa's brother rather than on Santa himself but also on how to keep Christmas alive and not have it closed down. By having Vince Vaughn as the main character in this I had good expectations for this movie as I generally enjoy everything in which I have seen him in. I thought that  Fred Claus  was good in how it showed how Nicholas became a saint and how h...

P.S. I Love You (film review) *contains spoilers*

Film: P.S. I Love You Year: 2007 Genre: Drama, Romance Directed By: Richard LaGravenese Starring: Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler, Harry Connick Jr. About:  A young widow discovers that her late husband has left her 10 messages intended to help ease her pain and start a new life. Trailer:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZzW6_hR068 My Review: Feeling in the mood to see a romance movie I couldn't resist in watching one of my favourites called P.S. I Love You . This movie never fails to make me tear up and unable to look away from the screen. I really like how the movie is taken place after the death of her husband and he is helping her to move on with her life by making her do different things and going to places in which she would not usually go in order to bring her back to the woman he loved. By sending her letters you can tell how much he loved her and that although he is no longer there he doesn't want her to just give up on her life and wants her to be the best...

Book: The Fire Within Author: Chris d'Lacey Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Young Adult Published By: Scholastic Inc. Published Year: 2007 My Review: Having taken part in the 24in48 readathon I was able to finish reading The Fire Within by Chris d'Lacey which is a book I have owned for years and always enjoyed reading. This novel is about a man called David who just moves into the Pennykettle household and ends up mixed in the drama with their next door neighbour Mr Bacon who is trying to catch and kill a squirrel in which the daughter in the Pennykettle household really cares for. As well as this he is given a clay dragon and starts to learn the secret's about them. This book is split into two parts; the first part being called The Spark and the second part of the book being called The Fire Within. Due to there being two parts I am going to review each part separately and then do an overall of the book. The Spark The first part of the book is in which David ar...
