The film is about a girl who is trapped into her house with her brother after the house keeps talking to them and their parents die. The Secret Life of Pets is about a dog named Max who ends up with a new dog living with him called Duke. As the two don't get along they plan to get rid of each other however this leads to them going on an adventure together to get back home and creating a friendship. I thought that this was really relateable for pet owners to see how the different pets reacted to when the owner left and how they came home from work. I do wish however that I did check it out before I watched it and found out that this film personally just wasn't for me. Mulholland Drive is about a girl who ends up coming to Los Angeles and finds another woman in her aunt's apartment who has no memory of who she is.
