At the end finding out that this was also based on true events made me like this film a little more as it made the film more enjoyable for the younger audiences and could teach them about an event which happened in a way they would like. Knowing nothing about the film prior to seeing it and having not seen it before I was rather excited to see this. The Darkness is about a family who goes to the Grand Canyon and when their son comes across some stones decides to take them home with him. However the stones end up having a much darker purpose than they intended and could end up killing or breaking the family apart. I thought that this film was brilliant and I really enjoyed how the movie showed right away how the son found the stones in which ends up making all of the problems...
