My Review:
Having wanted to see Venom in the cinema however not having got around to it and having owned the movie since it was released physically however not feeling like watching this for a while. This movie grabbed my attention again and I couldn't wait to watch it and cast my own views on a movie which I heard no negative feedback upon.

Personally, I really enjoyed how the film showed how after the Venom was discovered how scientists experimented on it to see how it took over bodies for hosts and why they did this. Not only this but even taking it into animals before human testing, this was something in which I liked about this film as it made it more realistic with the way the aliens were being treated and how humans didn't care about if it hurt them or not. I did think that the character of Venom was also funny but didn't make the character feel like he someone he wasn't also by showing why he was able to host to Eddy and why he started to like being in his body as he felt that they were similar was something in which I thought was good way of bringing the characters together and really understanding the connection in which the characters had. Later in the movie showing how there was another of the same species as Venom in which was determined to destroy Earth but having Venom start to like the planet making him not want to side with someone in which was stronger than him was something I found really sweet and I liked how he stood up for himself with the help of Eddy and willing to risk his life in order to save Earth. Not only this but having the ending showing how when the audience think that Venom has been killed by the fire in which killed his rival he is really alive and inside Eddy made me so happy to know that he was still alive and a lot more content to let Eddy have control and cooperate with him. The first end credit scene also left me wondering who the new villain would be in a sequel in which looks to be coming soon, not only this but it left me wondering how the characters of both Eddy and Venom would progress further. I also enjoyed how the second end scene showed a trailer for Spider-Man Into The Spiderverse in which is currently in my To Watch List and made me want to watch it even more due to the humour in which looks to be throughout the movie.

However, although I did enjoy the movie I thought that the movie could have been improved to show more understanding of why the aliens wanted to destroy the planet and why Venom's rival had a lot more additions to him where as Venom didn't seem to have weapons. Not only this but with some of it being in a different language even though only a little I do wish that the movie added subtitles so that the audience was able to understand what was being said instead of just having to be a little confused over what was said. I also wish that Venom showed a little more humour with the character himself as it didn't seem like he had as much humour as I would have expected out of him.

Overall, this was a film in which I really enjoyed and surprised me. I would recommend this film to those who are fans of Marvel and those who like an antihero film with comedy as well as action. I am definitely going to see this again and look forward to seeing how Marvel continue with the antihero movies in which they have been recently releasing.

My Rating: 4/5

Mysteries and Secrets of Magic - C.J.S. Thompson (book review)

Book: Mysteries and Secrets of Magic Author: C.J.S. Thompson Published By: Senate Published Year: 1927 My Review:  As this book is a non-fiction book about magic I did find this rather interesting to read however it seemed like this novel was more of a tester to see what kind of topic you would be most interested in with it only having short amounts on various topics such as: Supernatural Beings, Greek and Roman Magic, Magical Numbers, The Grimoires or Handbook of Black Magic, Magic in Shakespeare's Plays and many more. This did however teach me about magic that I didn't know about and now want to look more into as a result of this book and discover more about the magic of the past as well if there is any use of magic in the world now as we know it in 2018 almost 100 years after this book was first published. I would recommend this book to those who would like to know more about magic however don't know what they would like to learn as this will help you know what as

I love how this film although being about football and being something I am not interested in brings it to an enjoyable place for me as well as having the comedy and romance side to keep me fully entertained. Having the film show how the girls team was cut from Viola's school and showing how she just wanted to play and would have played on the b
