My Review:
Having had this in my To Watch Pile for a while I thought it would be a perfect time to give this a watch for the first time. Being a fan of the first movie I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie and although this was different from what I would have expected I did think think that this was a good watch.

Showing at the beginning of the movie how she took down Bateman and never got caught showed how she became a killer and really helped to show the character right from the beginning. By also having her motivation to join the FBI so she could take down other serial killers was something else in which I thought was well done as it gave her killing purpose when she started killing her peers in order to get a teaching assistant job. Showing how she killed was in all different ways such as strangling, hanging, bashing heads in and more showed how she thought tactfully about how she would kill people and where she would put the bodies so that they would not be found. I did think that the ending was also a good twist with her not really being Rachel Newman and that she was using the alias in order to be at the university which later we see that she kills someone else to also steal theirs and get into the FBI which only the shrink she spoke to ended up finding out about. This did make me wonder who she really was which was kept a mystery even in the ending.

I did think however that by having the voice over throughout the film did distract me and was something that rather annoyed me about this movie. Not only this but I thought the acting and the script was not perfect for this movie and the motivation behind her killing was wrong. I do think that this movie would have been better if it wasn't a sequel to the American Psycho movie as I feel that it changed my opinion on it due to it not being something that the audience asked for.

Overall, this was a good killer movie and one that did surprise me with the ending of it and the twist I didn't see coming.  This is a film I would recommend to teenagers who are looking for a killer movie and a thriller. This is a film I would see again!

My Rating: 3/5

My Review:
Having been a huge fan of the MCU and being really excited for this movie since Infinity War came out in 2018 I couldn't wait to see this at the midnight release. I have waited a little while before uploading this review and that was so that when spoilers came up it was after the time in which Marvel said it was okay to do so.This is a film which I was so scared to watch but also so excited as well and really didn't want to see come to an end knowing this is the last for some of the characters within the Marvel Universe in which people are…

The Hidden People - Alison Littlewood (book review)

Book: The Hidden People
Author: Alison Littlewood
Genre: Horror, Fantasy, Historical
Published By: Jo Fletcher Books
Published Year: 2016

My Review:
Taking part in the OWL'S Readathon I needed a book which met the prompt of "Plant on the Cover" and after putting a poll on Twitter which had the choice of three different books this is the one that came out on top. As a result I ended up with this book and although seeming interested in it from the back of the book I found that this book did not grab me as much as I wish it did.

The book is about a man who's cousin dies so he goes to try and find out the truth about her death and upon getting to the village of Halfoak finds that the people are really into superstition and believed his cousin to be a fairy and not of this world. However, when his wife gets there he starts to think that maybe there is some truth in the tales the people were saying.

I found that this book was really slow for my personal taste and I couldn't…

Goosebumps: Don't Feed The Vampire - R.L. Stine (book review)

Book: Goosebumps: Please Don't Feed The Vampire

Genre: Children's, Horror
Published By: Scholastic
Published Year: 1997

My Review:
Taking part in the OWL'S Readathon a subject I had was Care of Magical Creatures which had the prompt of "Land Animal on the Cover" because of this I thought it would be the perfect time to go back to a book I loved when I was younger called Goosebumps: Please Don't Feed The Vampire. Which I ended up still enjoying even though I am now an adult.

The book is one where the reader is able to make the decisions of the book and from the beginning there is two different routes in which the reader is able to take. The first is a story where the reader becomes a vampire and gets to choose how they deal with becoming one from trying to become human again to also staying a vampire. The other is where the dog becomes a vampire instead!

I personally think that this book is great for engaging readers with letting them choose what…
