HOP (film review)

Film: HOP
Year: 2011
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy
Starring: Russell Brand, James Marsden, Elizabeth Perkins
About: E.B., the Easter Bunny's teenage son, heads to Hollywood, determined to become a drummer in a rock 'n' roll band. In LA, he's taken in by Fred after the out-of-work slacker hits E.B. with his car.

My Review:
As it is Easter I decided to watch an Easter movie and one of the only films that came to mind was HOP which by luck is also currently streaming on Netflix at the moment. So what better opportunity to watch this film than during the holiday!

HOP is a film about EB who is going to take over being the Easter Bunny this year however has dreams of being a drummer so runs away from home and runs into a man who is looking for a job and tries to get his life on track. While this is happening a chick over on Easter Island is trying to take over from EB and be the next Easter bunny!!

I think this is such a feel good film and one of the only family Easter films which doesn't have to do with Jesus. I think this film is such a cute film and it does make me laugh with some jokes which is perfect for the adults as well as humour for the children who also see this. Not only this but I think that showing how things are on Easter Island as well as how EB is getting on away from home is a good combination to show what is happening with EB's disappearance.

I would recommend this movie to families who are looking for a film to watch which is not only animated but does have real people in it as well. It is also good for the Easter period with being about the Easter Bunny and saving Easter so that it continues for everyone around the world.

My Rating: 4/5

My Review:
Having been interested in this movie for a while and it really catching my eye lately especially with it being on Netflix I couldn't resist but to give this a watch. This is something in which I had better expectations for than it gave me and seemed a rather forgettable movie even though it wasn't a bad watch.

I liked that The Girl With All The Gifts started with showing how the children were taught and kept in separate rooms however made the audience wonder why they were kept that way when they seemed like normal children. Later discovering that they were zombies and that there was a zombie break all over the world through the cause…

My Review:
Wanting to watch a rom-com and having this on my Watch List on Netflix I couldn't resist but give this film a chance and see what I thought. Having liked Emma Roberts in everything I had seen her in previously as well I was excited to see if this was another film of hers in which I would enjoy. This film surprised me however I ended up enjoying this more than I expected.

I liked that this film had a Romeo and Juliet vibe with the families not liking each other however the children both being in love with each other and feeling that their families were the reason in which they couldn't be together. I also thought it was clever having the grandparents also feelin…

My Review:
Having been an X-Men fan for most of my life I was excited to see that Dark Phoenix was coming out and decided to go to the cinema to see it on the first opportunity that I had. Although this is a decent watch this is nothing like what I expected it to be and it really let me down.

I thought that this movie was good in showing how Phoenix had dangerous powers and that Jean had no control over them which led to her hurting the ones that she loved. Realising this she did try to get help from anyone who she thought would be able to help her which I thought was nice to …
