Avengers: Infinity War (film review) *contains spoilers*

Film: Avengers: Infinity War
Year: 2018
Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, Benedict Cumberbatch
About: The Avengers and their allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe.

My Review:
Having been waiting over a year for the new Avengers: Infinity War movie and seeing that they were doing a midnight release for the film I couldn't resist getting my ticket and seeing it the moment that it came out.

Avengers: Infinity War is about Thanos and how he is trying to get all of the infinity stones so that he can get rid of half of the universe's population. As a result of this we see all of the Avengers and some other Marvel characters come together to try and protect the universe from Thanos.

Having went into this film already excited I was not at all disappointed as the film completely exceeded my expectations. From the first moment of the movie and seeing the Loki die by the hand of Thanos which made the film right away full of action. As the film continues you see how the Avengers meet the Guardians of the Galaxy and how they interact with each other and start to work together to take down Thanos. With more deaths being made throughout the film it was honestly so heartbreaking, luckily the film does have the humor in which you would expect from a Marvel movie making the film more lighthearted. With the film also being one of two parts it does make the ending where you see Thanos getting all of the stones and eliminating the planet of the half of the population and most of the Avengers, making you unable to stop crying. There is also only one end scene in Infinity War and this shows that this film is made into two parts and that the audience now have to wait till 2019 for the second half of the movie to be shown.

I could not recommend this film any higher! If you are a Marvel fan you will love it and if you like action then you will not be disappointed at all. I am seriously excited already for the second half of Infinity War to come out and see what happens next.

My Rating: 5/5

However, when one of the students gets obsessed with him she will do anything to be with him including secluding him from everyone else. Film: Little Italy Year: 2018 Genre: Comedy, Romance Directed By: Donald Petrie Starring: Hayden Christensen, Emma Roberts, Danny Aiello About:  A young couple must navigate a blossoming romance, amidst a war between their families' competing pizza restaurants. Trailer:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8lDreq9le4 My Review: Wanting to watch a rom-com and having this on my Watch List on Netflix I couldn't resist but give this film a chance and see what I thought. Having liked Emma Roberts in everything I had seen her in previously as well I was excited to see if this was another film of hers in which I would enjoy. This film surprised me however I ended up enjoying this more than I expected. I liked that this film had a Romeo and Juliet vibe with the families not liking each other however the children both being in love with each other and feeling that their families were the reason in which they couldn't be together. I also thought it was clever having the gr...

Broken Homes- Ben Aaronovitch (book review) *contains spoilers*

Book: Broken Homes Author: Ben Aaronovitch Genre: Crime, Fantasy, Mystery Published By: Gollancz Published Year: 2013 My Review: With my work colleague letting me borrow the next book in the Peter Grant series, I was hoping that this book would be as good as the previous book which had me wondering what was going to happen next and if they would discover where the dark wizard was hiding. Not only this, but with the characters moving to a building they felt had a magical connection, I was wondering how this would effect not only the people performing good magic but the ones who would want it for darkness. Broken Homes did surprise me with the ending however it did rather bore me throughout which did disappoint me. I liked that Broken Homes showed that it wasn't only people who could be magical but that it could also be buildings which demonstrated how magic was everywhere and could build in certain parts of the city. With this being something that I hadn't thought of...
