My Review:
Having wanted to see The Current War since it was in the cinema after seeing how it had an incredible cast of actors in which I already like I knew I had to see it once it came onto DVD. Not only this but not knowing much about the electricity feud this was a subject in which I found myself really interested in which made me enjoy this film a lot more than I had expected.

I thought that it was good how it showed the rivalry between both Edison and Westinghouse and how Edison was willing to tarnish his name in order to get ahead and even go against his own beliefs in order to try and win the electrical war. By even showing how electricity was dangerous and putting the electric chair that Edison made with Westinghouse's name to try and discredit him. Not only this but I liked how it showed that Tesla was trying to help Edison however being overlooked and lied to tried to make his own company and when that didn't work helped Westinghouse with the electric war as it showed how determined to his cause he was and that he would do anything to help win with the electric especially as it was something in which he had been thinking about for a long time. Another thing that I really liked about The Current War was that it showed at the beginning the background between what was happening with Edison and Westinghouse and at the ending it showed what happened to each of the men after the events of this movie, by showing this I thought it really helped to give these men more credit and helped to show the achievements in which they had accomplished in their lifetimes. By showing how Edison lost his wife which made him go off of the rails and lose his morals I think was really saddening and shows what grief is able to do to people even when they have goals making them people who they aren't which makes him lose his company however keep doing motion picture and sound in which turns into his biggest accomplishments. The casting of this film was something in which I also loved as being a fan of a lot of the actors in this it left me happy and becoming a lot more interested in what was happening as a result and getting surprised by some of the casting within the film.

The only thing in which I think that could have been better is that when the writing came up at the beginning and end of the film I thought that it went a little too quickly off of the writing making it hard to catch what it was saying unless pausing the movie. Other than this I think that this movie is brilliant and really brought to light a history in which I didn't know much about but now want to research more into. I would recommend this film to people who are interested in history and those who like drama films as this is one that I found myself loving. I definitely recommend.

My Rating: 5/5

Trailer:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8lDreq9le4 My Review: Wanting to watch a rom-com and having this on my Watch List on Netflix I couldn't resist but give this film a chance and see what I thought. Having liked Emma Roberts in everything I had seen her in previously as well I was excited to see if this was another film of hers in which I would enjoy. This film surprised me however I ended up enjoying this more than I expected. I liked that this film had a Romeo and Juliet vibe with the families not liking each other however the children both being in love with each other and feeling that their families were the reason in which they couldn't be together. I also thought it was clever having the gr...

I love how this film although being about football and being something I am not interested in brings it to an enjoyable place for me as well as having the comedy and romance side to keep me fully entertained.
